1-time Classes

​

Make a mess and get creative while you learn a new medium on the pottery wheel or with just your hands!

Classes are designed for those with little to no ceramics experience, and are

intended to be a lighthearted learning activity!

TryDay Wheel-throwing Overview: 

Every Friday night (6-8pm) at our West Oakland studio!

Every Saturday afternoon (3-5pm) at our Temescal/Rockridge studio!

Note: Class is designed for ages 14 and over. Please refrain from bringing pets, kids, or additional guests.​​

 

Class Structure

Demo: Your instructor will start with a demonstration and break down wheel throwing into 4 distinct steps.

Group Throwing: Then, as a class, we will go through each of these steps and be more descriptive about what exactly to do.

Individual Creations: Your instructor will support you through the remainder of the class as you make bowls, cups, vases, plates, etc...

Clean-up and Finishing: Tag your pieces, select your glazes, and make sure to clean your wheel! 

 

Family Clay Day!: 

Every month on the fourth Saturday afternoon (2-4pm) at our West Oakland studio!

This one-time, 2 hour class gives kids (6-13 years old) and adults a chance to bond in the world of clay. 

 

Class Structure

Demo: Your instructor will start with a demonstration and break down hand building into distinct steps.

Group Make: As a class with hands on support, we will go through each step to make bowls, cups, vases, figures, etc

Individual Painting: The remainder of the class will be used to decorate your creations with underglazes.

Clean-up and Finishing: Tag your pieces and make sure to clean your table!
