1-time Classes
Make a mess and get creative while you learn a new medium on the pottery wheel or with just your hands!
Classes are designed for those with little to no ceramics experience, and are
intended to be a lighthearted learning activity!
TryDay Wheel-throwing Overview:
Every Friday night (6-8pm) at our West Oakland studio!
Every Saturday afternoon (3-5pm) at our Temescal/Rockridge studio!
Note: Class is designed for ages 14 and over. Please refrain from bringing pets, kids, or additional guests.
Class Structure
Demo: Your instructor will start with a demonstration and break down wheel throwing into 4 distinct steps.
Group Throwing: Then, as a class, we will go through each of these steps and be more descriptive about what exactly to do.
Individual Creations: Your instructor will support you through the remainder of the class as you make bowls, cups, vases, plates, etc...
Clean-up and Finishing: Tag your pieces, select your glazes, and make sure to clean your wheel!
Make Your Own Mug Overview:
Every Sunday afternoon (1-3pm) at our West Oakland studio!
In this 2 hour workshop, learn how to slab-build your own personal to-go cup! Participants will learn different methods to add texture and color to their cup! You will get to add your own style & choose your glaze and our expert staff will handle the post -event process for you.
Post Event Process:
Our expert staff will hand-finish and glaze your work after you leave it with us. This includes trimming, bisque firing, glazing, glaze firing and bagging up all finished work! You will receive an email from the studio when your pieces are ready for pickup.
The post event process typically takes between 4-6 weeks. All finished work will be dishwasher, microwave and food safe.
