Bring 6-8 pieces maximum width of 8 inches and height of 12 inches
** there is no guarantee that all pieces will be fired - smaller pieces will fit a lot easier than bigger pieces
Most-mid range groggy clay bodies are welcome (suggested clays are Bmix w/ Grog, Speckled Buff, Moroccan Sand)
Some non-grog clay bodies will work fine if they are smaller pieces (Bmix)
Pieces must be bisque fired prior to the workshop.
Skinny wheel thrown or sculptural work is best. Plates and wide bowls are risky.
We will be doing 4 firings in the 6 hour period. 3 regular raku firings and one naked raku (if required). Please email annika@clayroomsf.com if you are interested in Naked Raku and want more information.
We will provide a variety of raku glaze options, including crackle, turquoise, metallic, and copper glazes.
Please wear long pants and a long sleeve shirt (no flammable materials). No open toed shoes and long hair must be tied back. We will provide safety gear for each participant.
